Red's Stateline Blues Festival

Head to the stateline for an entertaining day filled with Blues music and BBQ. Performance lineup includes: Glenn Davis & Hometown Blues Jam, Big Jim Johnson & Friends, and more. Advance tickets online are only $5/ $15 day of event. 


Friends of the Crystal Lake Library Mum Sale
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14
The Friends of the Crystal lake Library are holding a Perennial Mum Sale at the Crystal Lake Public Library, 126 Paddock St. Mums are $12.00 each, or 3 for $30. Money from the sale help support the activities of the library.  

Pumpkin Decorating for Grownups
10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14
The Barn Nursery & Landscape Center

Why should kids have all the fun? Adults, come out to The Barn for some pumpkin decorating fun. One-hour sessions start at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. $25 per person, per session, includes pumpkins, supplies, and instruction. Fall Fairy Gardening Class at The Barn Nursery & Landscape Center

McHenry County Rock the Beat 5K Run/Walk
9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, at Lippold Park, Crystal Lake
Sponsored by the American Heart Association for McHenry County. Races take place at Lippold Park, and all proceeds benefit the American Heart Association.


Paws in the Park Walk & Pet Fest
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15
Veteran Acres Park, 431 N. Walkup Rd., Crystal Lake
Helping Paws Animal Shelter is hosting the 14th Annual Paws in the Park Walk and Pet Fest. Registration fee $35.00; $10 for each additional dog registered to participate. T-shirts will be given to the first 100 participants who register. Check-in and registration starts at 10 a.m.; walk begins at 11a.m. After the walk, participants are invited to attend the Pet Fest, which consists of canine demonstrations, doggie games and contests, food, raffles, vendors, pet blessings and more.
