TRAFFIC ALERT: Avoid Oak Street North of Route 176

Motorists are advised to avoid the Oak Street area north of Route 176 until about 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12.

12:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12. 

Crystal Lake Police Department has issued the following advisory: Motorists should avoid Oak Street between Crystal Ridge and Route 176 for approximately the next four hours due to Union Pacific RR emergency repairs.

The Union Pacific Railroad has advised the city that emergency track repair has required the closing of Oak Street between Crystal Ridge and Route 176.

Field crews have indicated that the repair to a broken piece of rail should be completed in approximately four hours, at which time the road will be reopened to traffic.
