Trump Car Parade Held In Kane, McHenry Counties Sunday

KANE AND MCHENRY COUNTIES, IL — The first Trump car parade of the 2024 election season will be held in Kane County Sunday, local GOP officials said.

The parade will start at 5N720 IL Route 47 in Maple Park before heading north to the McHenry County Fairgrounds, 11900 Country Club Road in Woodstock. Cars will line up on local streets at 9 a.m., with the parade kicking off promptly at 10 a.m.

The event is one of several county parades happening in suburban Chicago, and that will all converge at the “Trump Now. Save the American Dream” rally in Woodstock. The rally will run from 12:30 to 6 p.m.

Donald Trump is running for a second term as president. Democratic President Joe Biden had previously been running against Trump in the November general election until he dropped out on July 21. Vice President Kamala Harris was announced as the new candidate.

The Trump rally comes a day before the National Democratic Convention is set to begin Monday in Chicago.

“This is the first Trump car parade in Kane County in 2024, and we’re excited to unite with our neighbors to show support for President Trump,” Lerario said. He is anticipating an even bigger turnout this year compared to 2020 when a similar rally in Kane County drew 10,000 supporters.

The parade will include cars, motorcycles, and other vehicles adorned with Trump flags, signs, and patriotic gear. Participants are encouraged to decorate their vehicles,

“We’re looking forward to a peaceful yet enthusiastic show of support as we head to the main Rally in Woodstock,” Lerario said.

The “Trump Now. Save the American Dream” rally will feature conservative speakers, including General Michael Flynn, Charlie Kirk, Mike Lindell, Roger Stone and more. The event will also include musical performances by the national country artists Thompson Square and Nate Venturelli.

The parade leading to the Woodstock rally is free, but the rally itself requires admission and tickets can be purchased at paradingfortrump.com. Ticket prices start at $30 for general admission and go up to $300 for VIP seats.
