Two Injured in 45 Miles-Per-Hour Rear-End Crash

A crash along a busy Crystal Lake highway landed two in the hospital Thursday, according to reports.

Two men were hospitalized with minor injuries Thursday afternoon after getting into a crash on a major Crystal Lake highway.

Police said the accident occurred around 2 p.m. that day on westbound Route 176, according to a Northwest Herald article. One victim was in his 20s and the other was in his 40s, the story says.

The collision reportedly occurred after one of the drivers rear-ended a pickup truck while driving about 45 miles per hour.

"Nunda personnel transported one man, and an ambulance from the Cary Fire Protection District transported the other," reported the Northwest Herald.
