Water Rescue Team Searching Fox Lake For Missing Person: Official

FOX LAKE, IL — A water rescue team was dispatched to Crabapple Island Friday morning for a report of a man who went missing in the Fox Lake, officials said.

Rescuers, divers and paramedics from the Fox Lake Fire Department were on scene at 10:48 a.m. and took off from the 100 block of Lakeview Avenue. Crystal Lake sonar personnel were also dispatched to the scene, a spokesman said.

Fire officials told Patch divers from surrounding areas such as Crystal Lake, Lake Bluff, Lake Forest, Waukegan and Zion were also called to the scene. A WGN helicopter is assisting with an aerial search of the lake.
