Woodstock Man Pleads Guilty To Felony Cocaine Possession

WOODSTOCK, IL — A Woodstock man has pleaded guilty to felony possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, McHenry County State's Attorney Patrick D. Kenneally announced Monday. According to a release from Kenneally's office, 36-year-old Jeremiah B. Pedersen has been sentenced to nine years in the Illinois Department of Corrections by Judge Robert Wilbrandt, in accordance with the plea.

According to the release, Pedersen previously admitted to buying and selling cocaine after being pulled over by members of the McHenry County Sheriff's Department. During the traffic stop, authorities recovered 91.4 grams of cocaine, scales, cell phones and $4,500 cash, the release said.

On March 21, 2018, police carried out a search warrant on Pedersen's home as part of an investigation, and found 191.2 grams of cocaine and $1,675 cash, the release said.

The case was investigated by the McHenry County Sheriff's Office and was prosecuted by Brette Dunbar of the McHenry County State’s Attorney's Office, according to the release.
