 Get ready to shine bright at our Bedazzled meetup! Join the DGC Sprouts crew for a fun, in-person gathering this February. It’s the perfect chance to connect, chat, and add a little sparkle to your day.
Bring your creativity and help us prepare items for the local craft fair to fundraise for DGC Sprouts. At this meeting, we will be making fun crafts to sell at the upcoming craft show. Bring any craft projects and supplies that you want help to make, or make one of the crafts we have ready to create. Be sure to make one for yourself to take home! Please note, this event will be held at the Woodridge Public Library in the Mahlke Room.

 NOTES:
All are welcome to attend.
A responsible adult must accompany children.

Learn about the changing seasons and celebrate the winter solstice! Welcome back longer days by making a lantern! 
Celebrate the changing seasons and the return of the sun! The winter solstice is an astronomical event when the longest night occurs across the globe. From the winter solistice through the summer solstice, the days will get longer and the nights will get shorter.
We will be investigating this seasonal change and making lanterns to welcome back the sunlight!
Space is limited, so please register per child for this event. Please note: Studio B Art will host this event at their art studio!
This event is perfect for all families interested in nature.

Please note that a responsible adult is required to attend all DGC Sprouts activities with the children.

Join us for a special program researched and created by Kim White, a local master naturalist, who has had a lifelong interest in the natural world. Kim will discuss some of the women who have contributed to our understanding of natural history from 1458 B.C.E. to this century.Many women, proficient in a scientific or natural history discipline, were informally educated or self-taught, and rarely given the credit they deserved during their lifetimes, and many women have never been fully recognized for their accomplishments.Our January 2026 General Meeting will follow the presentation.

Celebrate with us as we kick off a brand new year of DGC Sprouts! We will have special entertainment, raffle prizes, and more!<a href="https://dariengardenclub.com/sprouts" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> </a>
<a href="https://dariengardenclub.com/sprouts" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Darien Garden Club’s Sprouts</a> program delivers our club’s mission to children and families interested in learning about gardening and horticulture. We emphasize hands-on, child-friendly lessons and activities for home and community gardening. Our purpose is to inspire and engage a new generation of gardeners.
Annual membership is $10 per family (or $12 via PayPal). Monthly meetings are generally held in the evenings on the 4th Wednesday of the month at St John's Lutheran Church. We also plan field trips, events, and other activities throughout the year. The children and families actively participate in growing vegetables, flowers, and herbs in the Learning Garden. We all share the harvest at the end of the year, and any surplus is donated to the local food pantry. We also run several recycling initiative programs to help care for the Earth as environmental stewards.
