This Chicken Chain Coming To Downers Grove
The restaurant is planned for across the street from Darien. It is unclear when it will open.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL – Wings fans – of the chicken and plane varieties – may be happy about a new restaurant coming to town.
The aviation-themed Wingstop is planned for 7401 Lemont Road in Downers Grove, next to the village's boundary with Darien.
The restaurant is set for the site of the old Payless Shoesource store. The space is under renovation.

It is unclear when the Downers Grove restaurant will open. Patch has left a message with the Addison, Texas-based corporation's public relations department.
Wingstop opened its first restaurant in 1994. The store now has more than 1,700 locations around the world.

On its website, Wingstop touts that its same-store sales have grown for 18 years in a row.
The chain opened 193 new restaurants in 2021.
The nearest Wingstops are in Oakbrook Terrace, Glen Ellyn, Bolingbrook, Villa Park and Hillside.
