Darien Landlord Arrested Twice After Confrontations: Cops

The man is accused of battery and disorderly conduct, police said.

DARIEN, IL – A landlord was arrested twice this week after confrontations with a tenant, Darien police said.

The incidents occurred in the 8400 block of Wilmette Avenue, which consists of businesses.

A 68-year-old Willowbrook man who lives in the 400 block of 63rd Street is the landlord, police said.

About 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, the man is accused of battering someone in the business. He was arrested on a battery charge and was released.

A day later, almost to the minute, police were called again. The man entered a woman's office, screamed at her, flipped her off and drove away when 911 was called, police said.

The man was charged with disorderly conduct and driving with a suspended license. He was released.
