Darien Lions Host 4th of July Parade and Bike Decorating Contest

The parade will start promptly at 9:30 a.m. July 4.

Darien, IL — The Darien Fourth of July Parade will take place Monday, July 4.

The Darien Lions Club is also sponsoring a bike decorating contest before the parade in the Jewel parking lot at 8:30 a.m.

Boys and girls are invited to bring their decorated bikes to walk or ride in the 4th of July parade. Top boy and girl winners will be awarded trophies and cash prizes, ages 2-5 and ages 6-12.

Parade participants will line up in the Jewel parking lot beginning at 8:15 a.m. at 75th and Cass Avenue. The parade will start promptly at 9:30 a.m., proceeding north on Cass Avenue to 71st Street. At 71st street the parade will head east until Clarendon Hills Road where it will go south towards the end point at Hinsdale South High School.

The Darien Lions are asking for voluntary contributions to help offset parade costs, mail your checks payable to: Darien Lions Club 1702 Plainfield Road Darien Ill. 60561.
