Darien Man Charged With Felony Retail Theft: Records
In other cases, Darien police arrested two people wanted on domestic battery charges.

DARIEN, IL – In the last few days, Darien police arrested people on charges of felony retail theft, domestic battery and DUI. Here is information from the latest reports:
Felony retail theft
- Officers were called to Lemont and Timber Trails roads Tuesday because of a crash. Filip Nemrava, an 18-year-old Darien man who lives in the 8500 block of Harvest Lane, was arrested on a warrant charging failure to appear in court. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. He had been charged with felony retail theft charge in Lombard. He pleaded guilty Wednesday, according to court records.

- Shortly before noon Dec. 11, officers were called to the 1500 block of Lakeview Drive about a man's unknown medical problem. A man was lying on the floor in the hallway. A 37-year-old Westmont man was arrested on a Cook County warrant charging domestic battery. The man was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
- Shortly before midnight Saturday, an officer was monitoring traffic from the shoulder of northbound Lemont Road under Interstate 55 when he saw a car traveling south driving on a flat tire. The officer activated emergency lights and pulled in front of the suspect, who then drove around the officer and entered I-55. The driver eventually pulled over onto the right shoulder near White Deer Drive. Shortly after stopping, the passenger door opened, but the passenger was ordered back in the car. The passenger, a 32-year-old woman, was wanted on two domestic battery counts in Bolingbrook, where she lives. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail. The driver, a 32-year-old Robbins man, was charged with possession of ammunition without a firearm owner's identification card, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, improper lane usage and driving on an unsafe tire. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
DUI
- Police were called to a possible hit-and-run crash about 2:30 a.m. Saturday at WoodSpring Suites, 951 N. Frontage Road. An officer noticed a truck in the Shell gas station parking lot, with the driver urinating on the vehicle. He had a strong odor of alcohol. The man, a 28-year-old man who lives at WoodSpring Suites, was arrested on charges of DUI, reckless driving, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving with unsafe tires, leaving the scene of a crash and reckless driving. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
