Darien Police Reports: Theft, DUI, Underage Drinking

Darien Police Department reported crimes through July 3.

Adas Petkevicius, 19 of the 100 block of E. Robinhood Way in Bolingbrook, was arrested June 27 and charged with tinted windshield and possession of drug paraphernalia on Cass Avenue and Plainfield Road. Petkevicius was released on scene with a court date of July 14 at the Downers Grove Field Court.

Jonathan Ortiz, 18 of the 600 block of 56th Place in Clarendon Hills, was arrested July 1 and charged with retail theft after police believe he removed two cases of beer past the last point of sale from Speedway Gas Station located at 7502 Cass Avenue. Ortiz fled the scene and was apprehended on Tennessee Avenue and Plainfield Road. Ortiz was also charged with fleeing and eluding a peace officer, illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, illegal transportation of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage, disobeyed traffic control signal and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Ortiz was processed and released with a court date of Aug. 9 in Wheaton.

Sandra Frausto, 25 of the 4800 block of S. Kedvale in Chicago, was arrested July 2 and charged with driving under the influence, driving without headlights and improper parking on roadway. Frausto was processed and released with a court date of Aug. 2 in Wheaton.

Ghavonne Wright, 18, was charged with consumption by a minor on state charges with a court date of Aug. 25. A male juvenile was cited on a ordinance for consumption by a minor and released to a family member with court date pending.
