Darien Police Reports: Van Burglary, Theft, No License

Pia Colon, 29 of the 100 block of Queenswood Road in Bolingbrook, was arrested June 13 and charged with driving while license suspended and failure to wear seat belt in the 6700 block of Cass Avenue. Colon was processed and released with a court date of June 30 at the Downers Grove Field Court.

Manuel Maldonado, 47 of the 2600 block of Kirchoff Road in Rolling Meadows, was arrested June 14 and charged with driving while license suspended and operating a motor vehicle while using an electronic communication device in the 1200 block of Plainfield Road. Maldonado was processed and released with a court date of July 14 at the Downers Grove Field Court.

David Myles, 28 of the 3400 block of W. Fullerton in Chicago, was arrested June 14 and charged with no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with expired registration in the 10100 block of Lemont Road. Myles was processed and released with a court date pending at the Downers Grove Field Court.

Shane Stage, 53 of the 7300 block of Northgate Way in Downers Grove, was arrested June 15 and charged with driving while license revoked and operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration at the intersection of 75th Street and Park Road. Stage was processed and released with a court date of July 14 at the Downers Grove Field Court.

A resident in the 1300 block of Iroquois Lane reported that sometime between June 15 at about 6 p.m. and June 16 at 6:35 a.m., someone entered a locked van in a driveway. Tools and power tools were stolen with an estimated value of $3,250.

A resident in the 1200 block of Sleepy Hollow Lane reported that sometime between June 15 at about 11 p.m. and June 16 at 7:48 a.m., an someone entered a locked van in a driveway. Tools and power tools were stolen with an estimated value of $1,600.

Toneca Harris, 22 of the 7300 block of Tennessee Drive in Willowbrook, was arrested June 17 and charged with no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and disobeyed a traffic control signal in the 7500 block of Plainfield Road. Harris was processed and released with a court date pending at the Downers Grove Field Court.

Matthew McCrory, 30 of the 600 block of 67th Street in Downers Grove, was arrested June 18 and charged with felony retail theft when he attempted to remove 10 packages of over the counter medicine and five packages of razors past the last point of sale from Jewel Osco, 7335 Cass Avenue. McCrory was processed and transported to the DuPage County Jail in Wheaton to await a bond hearing. Estimated value $406.
