Darien Vet Named Finalist in National Veterinarian Contest

A Darien, Illinois veterinarian is making quite the splash on a national level.

Dr. April Finan of Finan Animal Hospital was just named one of eight finalists for the national “My Vet’s the Best” contest. The top veterinarian vote-getter wins $1,000 for animals who desperately need medical treatment.

The “My Vet’s the Best” contest recognizes outstanding veterinarians across the country that have made a positive impact on their pet patients and local communities.

The contest is sponsored by Pets Best Insurance Services, a leading pet insurance provider based in Boise, Idaho. The next stage of the competition is gauged by votes on the Pets Best Facebook page.

In Dr. Finan wins the grand prize, she'll win not only the $1,000 to help treat animals, but a trip for two to a western veterinary contest.
