DUI Arrest, Subway Thief: Darien Police Blotter

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter throughout the past week. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Theft of lost or mislaid property
- A Darien resident said they were at a 737 Plainfield Road Subway restaurant and that they left their jacket behind when they left the store around 2 p.m. Feb. 13. The person said they returned to the Subway at 3 p.m., but the jacket was gone.
DUI

- Peter Perez, 39, was arrested for driving drunk after he was stopped by police Feb. 14 while he was stopped in a left turn lane with his hazard lights on. Perez was pulled over at 11:39 p.m. in the area of Plainfield Road and Landsfield Avenue, according to Darien police. He was ultimately charged with the DUI, carrying open alcohol in his car and improper parking in the street. Perez, who lives on Beller Court, is expected in court March 28.
