E-Motorcyclists Flee After Darien Cop Spotted Violations: Police

A youth was caught and faces several charges. The youth had no driver's license.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:

Fleeing from police

  • About 7 p.m. Sept. 4, an officer saw several youths riding electric motorcycles with no license plates heading east on 71st Street and entering pedestrian walkways at Darien Community Park, 7100 Clarendon Hills Road. When the officer tried to stop them, they fled in different directions. Police nabbed one of the youths, who was charged with having no driver's license, having no valid registration, driving an uninsured car, and fleeing and eluding an officer. The youth was released and given a date to appear in court.

  • Police were called about 7 a.m. Friday in the 8900 block of Brandon Road for a theft from a car. A man received a fraud alert on his phone about a purchase in another state that he had not made. His wallet and car registration paperwork were stolen from the glove box.

Warrant

  • A 50-year-old Darien woman who lives in the 6700 block of High Road was arrested Sunday on a Kendall County warrant charging her with failure to appear in court. She was arrested after officers responded to an unrelated call in the 8000 block of Sawyer Road. She was given a court date.
