Family Health Fair Wednesday at Indian Boundary YMCA

Here’s some of what’s going on in and around Darien for Wednesday, Aug. 21:

·      Rep. Ron Sandack is hosting a free “Family Health Fair” on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Indian Boundary YMCA (711 59th Street, Downers Grove.) “Free blood pressure, asthma and BMI screening along with fl shots will be provided for adults. For a small fee, the DTap vaccine will be available for children. Representative Sandack and his staff will be available at the event to discuss state issues, constituent services, and any other concerns.”

·      The City of Darien’s Planning and Zoning Commission meets tonight at 7:00 p.m. at Village Hall. It includes a public hearing on three petitioners’ permits for builds. Find the full agenda here.

·      From 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church (7214 S. Cass, Darien) will be the Sew What? “Ladies create quilts to distribute to various organizations in need of loving warmth.” More information is available at the St. John website.
