Former Hinsdale Central swim coach earns international honor

A former Hinsdale Central swim coach who mentored 167 high school all Americans and Olympic medal winners was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame June 20 in Santa Clara, Calif., according to a report in the Suburban Life.

Don Watson became the fourth inductee to the hall from the Red Devil program he led for 11 years as more than 75 of his former Hinsdale swimmers joined him for the honor, according to the Suburban Life. He is the fourth member of the hall connected to the local program.
