Hinsdale Police Reports: DUI, Public Indecency, Hit and Run
Hinsdale Police Department reported crimes through April 26.

A RML Specialty Hospital patient reported a bruise on her leg April 17 after being moved in her bed by a nurse.
Someone reported his company’s legally parked trailer was hit April 18 in the 400 block of Hillgrove Avenue. A witness observed a dump truck back into the trailer.

Someone reported her identity was used to open four fraudulent accounts March 1 and April 19. One of the fraudulent accounts had a balance of $346.
Bryan A Johnson, 27 of the 300 block of Wildflower Way in Bolingbrook, was stopped April 22 for improper lane use at Ogden Avenue and Adams Street. Johnson was observed to be under the influence of alcohol, and he submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. He was charged with DUI and improper lane use and released to appear in court.

Someone driving a dark colored SUV with tan trim was observed backing into a car April 22 while it was legally parked on the street in the 500 block of W Hickory Street.
Police were dispatched April 22 to the 400 block of S Clay Street for a report of lewd behavior. Police spoke with a male juvenile involved and released him to a parent. The matter was referred to a juvenile officer.
Someone made two fraudulent charges April 22 using the victim’s debit card. The fraudulent charges totaled $750.
Scott A Cortwright, 29 of the 500 block of Beech Avenue in La Grange Park was stopped April 25 for improper lane use in the 400 block of E Ogden Avenue. Cortwright was observed to be under the influence of alcohol, and he submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. He was charged with DUI and improper lane use and released to appear in court.
A Hinsdale Central High School teacher smelled a suspicious odor coming from a book bag April 21. A 16-year-old boy possessed a green leafy substance inside his bag that field tested positive for cannabis. He was released to a parent.
