Hinsdale South Announces Inaugural Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees
A formal presentation will take lace at the annual golf outing June 24.

Darien, IL — Hinsdale South High School has announced the inductees for its inaugural Athletic Hall of Fame.

Nominees represented former students, teams, coaches and staff as well as supporters and were required to meet several criteria. Nominations were reviewed by a committee and five inductees were selected to represent the five decades of Hinsdale South High School. Hinsdale South celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2015.
Eddie Slowikowski - Cross Country, Track and Field

Highlights include:
Two-time All-State designee for IHSA Cross Country and state runner up in 1984. Two-time All-State designee in IHSA Track and Field. Conference champion multiple times for cross country and track. After graduation from Hinsdale South, Eddie attended Loyola University Chicago, where he was a three-time NCAA All-American in track and cross country. He also represented the U.S. at the 1987 Pan Am games and the 1992 Olympic Trials.
Megan Stettin Isenberg - Volleyball
Highlights include:
Set state record for kills in one match against Buffalo Grove. Credited with being one of the best players ever coached by Coach Linda Marabil. After graduation from Hinsdale South, Megan attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she ranks eighth in all-time career solo blocks (68), totaling 348 stuffs for her career, to go along with 595 kills, 240 digs and 48 service aces.
Britt Taylor – Track and Field, Golf, Basketball
Highlights include:
All-state in the long jump and triple jump. Triple jump state runner-up and conference champion. Sectional champion in the long jump and triple jump. Four-year letter winner in golf, three-year letter winner in basketball. Most valuable player of golf team for all four years. Holds school record in nine holes of golf with a low score of 32. Named All-Area in basketball by the Chicago Sun Times. All-State and All-Conference in basketball. After graduation from Hinsdale South, Britt attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned All-ACC recognition in the triple jump and he several top-five finishes at multiple track and field events. Britt is currently the head track and field coach at East Lake High School in Tarpon Springs, Fla., where he has been named Pinellas County Coach of the Year for 2013, 2014 and 2015, after leading both girls’ and boys’ teams to their first district titles in school history.
Matt Mayberry – Football
Highlights include:
As a senior Matt Mayberry rushed for 2,242 yards and 36 touchdowns while guiding his team to a 10-2 finish. He earned first team All-State honors as well as the Suburban Life All-Area Football Player of the Year award. He holds six school records: rushing yards (2,827) and touchdowns (39), single-season records for rushing yards (2,242), touchdowns (36) and points (186) and the single-game record for touchdowns (five). After graduation from Hinsdale South, Matt attended Indiana University where he holds the record for most sacks in a game and won the Howard Brown Award for leadership.
