Kitten Found in Darien; District 61 Board Meeting

Here’s some of what’s going on in and around Darien for Tuesday, July 30:

·      Resident Debbie Kennedy reports having found a cat on Alden Lane in Darien last week on July 24. No picture, but the kitty is described as a tortoiseshell, about six months old and weighing six pounds. If anyone lost such a cat, call 630-910-1845.

·      The Darien District 61 Board of Education is meeting on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. at the Lace School. The Board will be discussing, among other things, funding and new hires, and will be awarding $100 gift cards for perfect attendances. The packet for the meeting can be found here.

·      Also at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday night, a free concert is being held next door in Downers Grove’s Fishel Park (near Grove Street and Main Street) featuring Johnny Russler & The Beach Bum Band. If it rains, the concert moves to the Lincoln Center (935 Maple Avenue.)
