Man Slashes Tires In Darien Neighborhood: Police

The man was caught and faces three counts of criminal property damage, authorities said.

DARIEN, IL – A man faces criminal property damage charges after he slashed the tires of three cars in a Darien neighborhood, local police said.

The 23-year-old man, who lives in the 800 block of Country Club Drive in La Grange, was arrested.

Shortly after midnight Wednesday, a woman in the 400 block of Maple Lane heard a car door slam and saw the suspect's car leave immediately, police said. Three victims had their rear passenger tires slashed, police said.

While en route, an officer saw the suspect's car and stopped him at Ulta, 800 Plainfield Road.

He was taken to the Darien police station and then released.
