New Darien Restaurant With Drive-Thru Planned

DARIEN, IL – A new restaurant with a drive-thru is proposed near the corner of 75th Street and Cass Avenue in Darien.

The restaurant, which has not been identified, would be built in the outlying parking lot for the shopping center that includes Jewel grocery store. It would be between Taco Bell and Concentra Urgent Care.

Darien's Planning and Zoning Commission plans to hold a public hearing on the proposal at 7 p.m. Feb. 7 at City Hall, 1702 Plainfield Road.

In an interview Thursday, Jordan Yanke, Darien's planner, said the developer has not identified a specific user of the building.

He said the city planned to post the developer's proposal online next Friday.
