DARIEN, IL – A developer who plans to build a restaurant building in Darien said Monday it should be ready for use by November.

In an interview, Vick Mehta, owner of Downers Grove-based Indvestia Capital, said he is on track to sign a lease with a tenant.

But he said he first needed the City Council's approval for zoning. On Monday night, the council unanimously voted for the project.

Mehta declined to name the likely tenant.

The 1,000-square-foot restaurant is planned for the corner of 75th Street and Cass Avenue. It would be between Taco Bell and Concentra Urgent Care, in the outlying parking for the shopping center that includes the local Jewel grocery store.
