Pink Fire Truck Brigade Arrives Today
Stuff going on in and around Darien for Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013.

Here’s some of what’s going on in and around Darien for Tuesday, Aug. 6:

· A parade of pink fire trucks will roll into Downers Grove on Tuesday to honor women who have been impacted by cancer. Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, 3815 Highland Ave., and Downers Grove Professional Firefighters I.A.F.F. Local 3234 will host the Guardians of the Ribbon—the national Pink Heals Tour—from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the parking lot adjacent to the hospital's emergency department. The public is invited to take pictures with the trucks and purchase items to support the hospital's wig boutique.

· The Downers Grove Park District's Family Concert Series will continue at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Veterans Memorial Pavilion in Fishel Park, located on Grove Street west of Main Street. This week's concert will feature Chicago Tribute Anthology, a seven-piece horn band dedicated to performing the music of the band Chicago.
· Don’t forget that registration is open for Darien Park District softball leagues! There are both a 12" Wednesday night league and a 16" Thursday night league. Games start the week of Sept. 9th. Find more information here.
