Police Blotter: Thief Smashes Window, Steals Purse from Gym Parking Lot

Burglary to a Motor Vehicle

Sometime between 3:45 p.m on Aug. 31 and 7:15 a.m. on Sept. 4, someone broke into the trunk of a car parked on the 8400 Block of Captons and removed numerous items. Total loss reported to Darien Police was $350.

Burglary to a Motor Vehicle

Sometime between 9:40 p.m. and 10:03 p.m., someone smashed the rear drivers side window of a car that was parked at 7511 Lemont Road and stole a white purse and its contents. Total loss was estimated more than $400.
