No Theft Charges At Darien Walmart's Request: Cops
Two suspects concealed items in a large tote bag, local police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:
Retail theft
- Two people concealed items in a large tote bag about 9:30 p.m. Saturday at Walmart, 2189 75th St. As they made their way out of the store, police officers stopped them. One of the suspects was previously given a trespass warning. Police said they did not charge the suspects with retail theft and trespassing at Walmart's request.
- A 37-year-old Cicero man was arrested about 8 p.m. Friday at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a retail theft charge. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- A 42-year-old man, with no town of residence listed, was arrested about 10 a.m. Wednesday on a retail theft charge. A store security officer at Jewel, 7329 Cass Ave., told police that he saw the man place merchandise in a backpack. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

- A 71-year-old Willowbrook woman who lives in the 6300 block of Americana Drive was cited about 4:30 p.m. Thursday on charges of leaving the scene of a crash, improper lane usage and not driving on the right side of the road. Police said they responded to a hit-and-run crash near 67th Street and Clarendon Hills Road. The woman sideswiped another driver's car while the driver was waiting at a red light. The woman's car was found at Whole Foods, 6300 Kingery Highway.
