Summer Nights Car Show Friday Night in Downers Grove

Here’s some of what’s going on in and around Darien for Friday, Aug. 2:

·      The Summer Nights Classic Car Show will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday in downtown Downers Grove. This week's theme is "BOPC" (Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Cadillac). Entertainment will be provided by Timothy Curran, who performs piano hits from the 1970s to today.

·      A “mega” neighborhood garage sale kicks off at 8:00 a.m. Friday around 7929 Farmingdale Drive in Darien, featuring over 20 houses (there’s even a map!) Pay them a visit!

·      The Village of Woodridge is also alerting residents that two Woodridge businesses—Greencore and Follett Education Services—are hiring for about 125 open full-time and part-time positions.
