Westmont Community Garage Sale Starts Friday

Here’s some of what’s going on in and around Darien for Friday, Aug. 9:

·      Friday is the Westmont Community Garage Sale! All throughout Westmont, Darien’s northern neighbor, homes will be having their garage sales on the same day to encourage shopping sprees. A list of participating homes and a map can be found here.

·      It’s a Senior Friday Fun Day at Darien’s Indian Prairie Public Library from 10:00 a.m. to noon. “Join other seniors for a game of Bingo with white elephant prizes (feel free to bring your own white elephant prize).” Drop-ins are welcome!

·      The Willowbrook Ballroom (8900 Archer Ave, Willow Springs) is hosting a Country & Western Dance (“Boppin’ at the Brook!”) on Friday night from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. It’s $8 per person.
