19-Year-Old Dead After Friday Morning Shooting: Coroner
Police responded to shots fired at 6:30 a.m. and found Aidarrius Woods with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital and pronounced.
DECATUR, IL — A 19-year-old man who died after being shot Friday morning has been identified, the Macon County Coroner announced Friday afternoon.
Aidarrius Woods, of Decatur, was pronounced dead at Decatur Memorial Hospital Emergency Room at 6:55 a.m. Half an hour earlier, police responded to a shooting in the 500 block of West Macon Street where they found Woods with an apparent gunshot wound.
An autopsy is scheduled for Sept. 11. Police told Patch they are investigating the incident.
