Back To School: Dectatur District 61 2023-24 School Calendar

DECATUR, IL — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Decatur, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in District 61 which serves Decatur’s 15 school buildings, including two high schools.

The first day of school for most students in Decatur is Monday.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 22-24

Winter Break: Dec. 22-Jan. 5

MLK Day: Jan. 15

President's Day: Feb. 19

Spring Break: March 25-29

Last Day: May 23
