The City of Decatur is now accepting bids for the removal of grass and weeds from lots owned by Macon County Trustee, City of Decatur and privately owned lots that have failed to comply with Chapter 48, Section 8 of the City Code of Decatur. The City will be divided into twelve districts, each having approximately 60-120 lots. Bidders may bid on one or more districts and bids must be submitted (in person or by mail) by March 11, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.

Bid packets are available in the Cityβs Economic and Community Development Department (Neighborhood Inspections Division), located at 1 Gary Anderson Plaza, Decatur, IL 62523, 3rd Floor. Β A pre-bid informational meeting will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at the Decatur Civic Center, Third Floor City Council Chambers. It is recommended that anyone interested in bidding on this project attend the pre-bid meeting, which will outline the scope of work and expectations for this project.
