Decatur Staley Museum Damaged By Lightning

The Staley Museum will undergo repairs after it was hit by lightning Sunday.

DECATUR, IL — Staff at The Staley Museum in Decatur say the museum will be closed until repairs are made to damage done Sunday night when the building was hit by lightning. According to a post on the museum's Facebook page, the house's chimneys and roof were damaged, but no one was injured during the incident.

According to the post, they're still assessing the damage and will keep everyone updated on the progress of the repairs.

The Staley Museum opened in 2015.
