Vicki Joan Williams, of Joliet, passed away peacefully at the age of 74, on Friday, March 14, 2025, surrounded by family. Vicki was born on July 18, 1950, the daughter of the late Fred P. Sr. and Isabelle Joan (nee Clucas) Thacker. Born in Shelbyville, she was raised in Decatur and was a graduate of Lakeview High School and received her Associates Degree from Joliet Junior College. Vicki retired after a long dedicated career as an Executive Administrative Assistant at St. Joseph Medical Center.
Vicki loved spending time with her family & spoiling her grandkids. She enjoyed many hobbies including cross-stitch, reading, paper crafting, collecting antiques, gardening & baking. Vicki loved to travel, sharing her experiences & pictures.

Vicki is survived by her two daughters, Renee (Scott) Dimmick and Carrie Schelling; sister, Lana (Merl) Cline; grandchildren, Dominic (Bekah) Nall, Samuel Dimmick, Tyler Ashcraft, Alexander Dimmick, Cory Niven, Victoria (Austin) Ziarko, Riley Schelling, Addisyn Schelling and Benjamin Dimmick; great-grandson, Lucifer Ziarko; and the father of her children, Merle (Wendy) Williams.
She is preceded by her son, Christopher Scott Williams; her parents; one brother, Fred P Thacker Jr.; sister, Debbie Louthan; brother-in-law, Mark Louthan; and nephew, Tad Williams.
Visitation for Vicki Joan Williams will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Howe-Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Helton Cemetery in Middlesworth, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the Dementia Society of America at dementiasociety.org.
