How long have you lived in West Deerfield Township:
I was raised in Deerfield, went to Kipling, Shepard, and Deerfield High School. My husband and I moved back here in 1992 to raise our daughters.

Are you an incumbent? Yes.

How long have you served in your office:
The Township Board named me to the position when former-Supervisor Julie Morrison was elected to State Senate in December 2012.

What political accomplishments are you most proud of?
I am proud of hitting the ground running as our township supervisor. Over the last ten weeks,I have led our office’s efforts to deliver assistance, conduct casework, and oversee the administrative functions carried out by the township. I am excited to carry on the tradition of efficient and affordable township that meets the needs of our community.

What professional accomplishments are you most proud of?
Starting and overseeing the growth of a small business in the publishing industry over the course of ten years.

What are the three most important issues facing the West Deerfield Township Supervisor?
Being able to continue to provide vital services to our community while keeping taxes low; maintaining high quality and accessible services for the members of our community in need; expanding our Going Places transportation programs through the attainment of grant money.

How do you distinguish yourself from your opponent?
I want to expand the transportation system that serves our elderly and others who can’t drive. I want to keep the food pantry in the Township Building where those in need can consult with the Township Supervisor.

Managing Partner of a marketing and publishing firm.

What is your educational background?
BA, Sociology, Beloit College

My goal as Township Supervisor is to run a township office that enriches the lives of all members of our community in a creative, forward thinking, and fiscally responsible way.
