Free Slurpee Day at 7-Eleven
7-Eleven stores, including the one in Deerfield, will serve free drinks on July 11.
July 11 marks 85th birthday, and the chain is again celebrating by offering free 7.11-oz. Slurpee drinks from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Deerfield location is Milwaukee Avenue two blocks south of Deerfield Road. There is also one on Deerfield Road near Ridge Road in Highland Park.
Slurpees have been sold for 45 years, and the chain is going all out for this year's festivities. In addition to giving away free servings of its iconic drink, 7-Eleven is providing party apparel — tiny bowties, tiny hair bows and tiny party hats — which can be downloaded from Slurpee.com.
