Lane Changes Lead to Drug Arrest

The following arrest information was supplied by the Deerfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Michael Zdanowicz, 21, of Deerfield was arrested May 31 for possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and transportation of open alcohol, according to Deerfield Police reports

Police observed Zdanowicz cross the center median of Deerfield Road near Chestnut Street and then move back into his own lane, according to the report. After stopping him, police observed a brown bag with glass sticking out and noticed the odor of cannabis coming from his clothes. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 3 p.m. July 2 in Park City. 

Seamus McGuire, 19, of Lake Forest was arrested May 27 for possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding, according to Deerfield Police reports. He was clocked driving 44 mile per hour in a 30-mile-per-hour zone near the intersection of Deerfield and Waukegan Roads. After making the top, police discovered a silver grinder and a glass bong. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 3 p.m. July 16 in Park City.
