Letter to the Editor: Gordon for 113 Board

I am writing in support of Julie Starkman Gordon’s candidacy for the District 113 Board of Education. I had the privilege of working with Julie during her pension actuarial and executive leadership career at Hewitt Associates. I can personally vouch for her exceptionally strong leadership skills and business acumen. She is also a great team player, is very creative, and has been a mentor to many, including me. She has been a passionate member of both the National and Chicago Area  Board of Directors of Junior Achievement USA. She cares about and helps make decisions with all key stakeholders in mind. 

For District 113, I am confident that Julie will consider the best interests of students, taxpayers, and the community, recognizing both the short-term and longer-term implications of important decisions. We were fortunate at Hewitt Associates that Julie served as a key leader and Board member of our company for many years. Her contributions made our company successful and a great place to work. I'm incredibly pleased that Julie has the passion and opportunity to leverage those leadership skills for the students in our community.  The District 113 caucus of community members recognized that Julie will be a great addition to the District 113 Board via their endorsement. I hope you will join me in endorsing her as well.
