Mass Shooting Cancels July 4 Events in Deerfield, Glenview, Evanston
Glencoe, Skokie, Lake Forest, Northbrook, Winnetka and more have also canceled July 4 events after the shooting in Highland Park.
DEERFIELD, IL — Family Days at Jewett Park as well as the July 4 parade are canceled in Deerfield after reports of an active shooter during a parade in nearby Highland Park.
The Glenview Park District also announced that "due to the active shooter situation in Highland Park, we are unfortunately cancelling the Glenview 4th of July parade."

The Village of Glencoe also said it was canceling Monday's Fourth of July parade "due to local events."
July 4 events in Libertyville, Buffalo Grove, Winnetka, Lake Forest, Evanston, Skokie and Northbrook have also been called off.
