Mix Back to School and Summer Events in Deerfield This Week
Enjoy summer fun but don't miss those back to school deadline.

As August approaches there is plenty of summer fun left around Deerfield this week but it is time to start thinking about those back to school deadlines with the opening of classes at Deerfield High School and Deerfield Public Schools District 109 less than a month away.
The Deerfield Park District is taking application for its After School Club childcare program while Deerfield High School athletes should think about getting their forms in for the coming season.
But don’t let those reminders keep you from a pair of free concerts, a free film discussion or getting the newest bestselling books and newest movie releases Monday from the Deerfield Public Library.

And if you see people walking around Deerfield with medals around their neck this week, congratulate them. See which five local athletes won medal at the 19th annual Maccabiah Games in Israel. They're coming home with their hardware.
