Peapod Donates $500, Food to Pantry
New Deerfield business addition chooses to help make a difference.

Peapod opened its pioneering drive through location last December in Deerfield and wasted little time becoming part of the community when it donated $500 and non perishable food to the West Deerfield Township Food Pantry Tuesday.
“Peapod is committed to supporting the communities where our customers live and work, and Deerfield is a prime example of that,” Marketing Director Brad Porter said. “We pride ourselves on offering the freshest foods, and are happy to help the West Deerfield Township Food Pantry stock its shelves with healthy, high quality groceries.”

The Pantry feeds people in need living in all of Deerfield as well as parts of Lake Forest and Highland Park. Bags are packed for pickup twice a month. West Deerfield Township Supervisor Alyson Feiger was thrilled with the Peapod donation.
“The West Deerfield Township Food Pantry is so grateful to have Peapod’s support, and to be doing good food work together in this community,” Feiger said. ““Peapod is a staple in Deerfield, especially with the opening of their pick-up location.”
