Police Arrest Speeding, Weaving Motorist for DUI

Elinor Milos, 40, of Vernon Hills was arrested Saturday for driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and improper lane usage, according to Bannockburn Police reports

Police observed Milos weaving in her lane of westbound Half Day Road near Telegraph Road, crossing the broken white line into another lane and accelerating her speed, according to the report. After clocking her driving 53 miles per hour in a 40-mile-per hour zone, police stopped her. 

After stopping her, police noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from Milos, according to the report. She failed field sobriety tests and registered a blood alcohol level of .111. She was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 9 a.m. April 24 in Waukegan.
