Schools, Park District Cancel Events
Regional basketball tournament, all District 109 activities cancelled. Park District keeps After School Club and Kinder Club open.

The Deerfield Park District will keep its After School Club and Kinder Club open until 6 p.m. today but has modified other parts of its schedule, according to Director of Recreation Laura Anderson.
All after school activities at Deerfield High School are cancelled today as well including the Warriors Regional Tournament basketball game against Zion Benton, according to the school website. That contest will be played at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

At the high school, bus service began when school was dismissed at 1:30 p.m., according to information on the school’s website.
In District 109 schools, bus service taking children home is expected to take longer than usual today, according to information on the District website.
All classes at the Park District have been cancelled today except the After School and Kinder Clubs, according to Anderson. The Jewett Park Community Center and Patty Turner Center will close at 3 p.m. while the Sachs Recreation Center will end its day at 6 p.m.
