You Still Have Time to Win a Free Kindle

Thinking of something to do today? Enter Deerfield Public Library free reading program. And, we have news about District 109 and some new Deerfield business.

Deerfield residents—and other Deerfield Public Library cardholders—have until August 18 to read five books and earn a chance to win a free Kindle as part of Have Book Will Travel, the adult summer reading program.

And, you don’t have to limit yourself to books. Movies count as well. “Participants who read, watch, or listen to five Library titles this summer can enter to win a Kindle,” according to the Library website. It has all the details.

If you’re looking for something to watch on television during the summer rerun season, the library can help you out as well with some popular shows. “TV shows are flying off the shelves,” Library Director Mary Pergander said. The top three are “Homeland,” Downton Abbey” and “Game of Thrones” are the most popular.
