Des Plaines Mayoral Candidates Debate Hot Topics
An overview of last week's mayoral debate held at City Hall.
Fourteen candidates running for office in Des Plaines took part in a debate at City Hall last week.
The mayoral race was the main event with all three candidates present. Tony Arredia, Mark Walsten and Matt Bogusz took questions from moderators and audience members ranging from flooding to casinos to development.

Bogusz accused Arredia and Walsten of making a bad revenue agreement with the State of Illinois for Rivers Casino. Walsten responded saying it was a “tough deal” and wasn’t happy with how it progressed, the Journal & Topics Newspaper reports.
