Des Plaines-Area Students Named Honorable Mentions on Academic Team
Conor Kinasz of Des Plaines and John Daniel Depa of Niles were given the honor.
Two Des Plaines-area students have been named honorable mentions on the Daily Herald's Northwest Suburban Academic Team.
John Daniel Depa, a Niles resident and student at Maine East High School has earned a 4.88 GPA on a weighted 4.0 scale. His ACT score was 32, and he plans to major in film. Depa is a member of the National Honor Society and an llinois State Scholar.
Conor Kinasz, a Des Plaines resident and student at St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights, is ranked first in his class of 245. Kinasz earned a 104.57 GPA on a 100-point scale and received a score of 32 on his ACT exam. He plans to major in political science or business.
