Friday Blotter: Man Allegedly Yells, Chest-Bumps at Bar, Semi Trucks Stolen, More

Battery

Police responded to a report of fighting at Lee Street Sports Bar, 1122 S. Lee St., at 7:30 p.m. on March 18. According to the report, Robert J. Travis, 46, of Mount Prospect, was being very loud, rude and verbally aggressive toward the bartender. Travis was advised he would not be served another drink and was asked to leave the premise.

According to the report, Travis outstretched his arms, puffed up his chest, and walked with an angry face up to a person and chest-bumped him.

Travis was charged with battery and warned he was not welcome back at Lee Street Sports Bar. He was given a court date of April 30 at Skokie courthouse.

Vehicle Theft

Police responded to a vehicle theft report in the Alliance Trucking parking lot, 1801 Elmhurst Road, at 5:50 p.m. on March 17. According to the report, sometime between 4 p.m. on March 15 and 8 a.m. on March 17 an unknown offender removed a red, 2007 Volvo semi truck from the lot.

Vehicle Theft

Police were dispatched for a vehicle theft report in the parking lot of R&R Cases, 1217 E. Rand Road, at 9:45 a.m. on March 20. According to the report, sometime between noon on March 5 and 9 a.m. on March 20 an unknown offender removed a white and blue, 2001, Kenworth T2000 semi truck from the lot.

Possession of Cannabis

While conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle for violating a median from westbound Oakton Street to Wolf Road in the 1700 block of S. Wolf Road at 6:19 p.m. on March 21, Elia H. Harmiz, 33, of Des Plaines, told police, according to the report, he had a “small amount of weed” in the vehicle. According to the report, Harmiz handed to police a cigarette ashtray with a plastic bag containing a small amount of a leafy, green substance suspected to be cannabis. Harmiz was issued a citation for possession of cannabis and a warning for the traffic offense.
