Gleason’s Automotive Set to Close

After 56 years in Des Plaines, the family-owned auto repair business is selling to another owner, the Daily Herald reported.

Gleason’s Automotive, 173 S. Wolf Road, founded in 1956, is expected to close in November, the Daily Herald reported. Owner Ray Gleason’s father, Harry Gleason, a World War II veteran, opened the business. Gleason’s Automotive, which was a gas station at one point, will be sold to another owner, according to the Herald’s report.
