John Wayne Gacy Audio Tapes Surface

Fox32 News has uncovered audio recordings of the serial killer from when he was in prison.

New audio tapes of serial killer John Wayne Gacy have surfaced, Fox32 News reports.

Gacy is heard on the tapes “ridiculing” police that he may have buried other victim’s bodies in the Chicago area that have yet to be uncovered, Fox reports. Gacy was convicted and eventually put to death for killing 33 men and hiding most of the bodies in the crawlspace of his home.

Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart said the audio recordings don’t reveal anything other than the fact that Gacy was a “liar of epic proportions”, Fox reports.

Authorities are looking into several cold case murders across the country that may have connections to Gacy. Police are studying DNA samples from crime scenes and Gacy’s travel history to find any possible links. In Chicago, Sheriff Dart has obtained a search warrant to dig in the 6100 block of West Miami where Gacy once did maintenance work, Fox reports.
