Maine West Football Falls to Deerfield

The Final Score:  Deerfield 35, Maine West 7

The Bottom Line: Maine West’s John Manicke ran for 187 yards and scored the Warrior’s only touchdown against Deerfield in the first half, CSL Insider reported. Deerfield’s quarterback, Ben Ethridge, scored two touchdowns, and Deerfield’s Ben Freedberg returned a kick 85 yards for another touchdown.

Maine West’s record is now 1-5 for the season and 0-2 in the Central Suburban League North Division. Deerfield is now 2-4 for the season and 1-1 in the CSL North.

Who’s Next:  Maine West returns to Des Plaines for a homecoming match against Glenbrook North at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 5.
